The Ace Academy is one of the very few French language schools in India that offers a complete preparation course for the DELF exam. 

 

What is DELF?

The DELF examination is organised by the French Ministry of National Education... It is the Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française (Diploma in French Studies). The DELF diploma is the official French proficiency exam just as the 'TOEFL” is for the English language.

 The Four separate levels of DELF are as follows:

DELF A1	Basic Level
DELF A2	Communicative Level
DELF B1	Interactive Level
DELF B2	Proficiency Level

 

Each of these certificates tests the four language proficiencies (Reading, writing, listening, and speaking), based on the levels of the Cadre européen de référence pour les langues. [Common European Framework of Reference for Languages] from the council of Europe. The CIEP in Sèvres, France is the centre for educational and administrative management of this diploma.

 

An official certificate from the French State:

 

·         DELF was created in 1985 by the French Ministry of National Education and is meant for foreigners only.

·         It is an official certificate with the same rules nationwide.

·         DELF certifies the French skills of foreign students. It is made up of 4 separate certificates, corresponding to the four levels of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

 

Who can register?

Registration is open to all Non-French citizens who wish to prove their French language skills. DELF A1 is the first level which deals with fundamentals and applicable to beginners.
